Rachael is not your typical cook because she is able to prepare simple dishes in 30 minutes. The menus are so full of flavor yet so simple to prepare. This woman really packs a punch. She teaches techniques and tips which have made my time in the kitchen so much easier. Now I use my garbage bowl and smash my garlic. I love her books. She is down to earth and I love to watch her cook. Rachael claims she doesn't bake. Neither do I. Can't wait to hear and see more from her. Highly recommend watching her show and look forward to more books.
I ordered this book after getting addicted to the television show. I had literally never cooked a meal before in my life that didn't come from a box or a can, and now I am working my way through every recipe in the book. My boyfriend and I have LOVED every single recipe and are excited about trying the rest. This is a fantastic book and all of the meals really can be prepared in 30 minutes or less. (Even for me, the rookie)Rachael Ray is the best!!
I love this cookbook. My mom gave it to me for Christmas and I thought, oh, no, another cookbook. I've made 3 recipes in the last week: linguine with red clam sauce, curry in a hurry, and coq au vin. All were wonderful and very easy. I am going to buy this for all of my friends. I am on Weight Watchers and find that the recipes are low in points and high in taste. Watch the curry paste in the curry recipe. Tone down with yogurt.
Rachael Ray provides a variety of delicious and healthy ways to prepare and cook delicious and tasty meals that appeal toeveryone in the family. The main bonus of this bookis that yes, you can cook these meals in 30 minutesmax. Because these meals can be cooked quickly and simplydoes not mean that anything is given up when it comesto variety and a uniqueness of dishes. The recipes andand ingredients needed are also easy to find. Get this and go to the kitchen.
Okay, so I get this book, I think its awesome! I read all the reviews here and could not believe the stupidity of some of the review writers. Why would you be so jealous of Rachel Ray? She has a great job and is a talented chef. Get a life, she did a terrific job on this book as well as all her others. I think most smart folk can figure out that 30 minutes may be an approximate time, some people can whip something from the book up in 25 minutes, some it may take 45. If you are going to be rude, than maybe you just aren't smart enough to follow a recipe and get it done in 30 minutes!!! If you need pictures to follow a recipe, go to school and learn to read. (I wrote this in response to all the rediculous critical reviews I read here)
